What Backup Assure is

Backup Assure is a purpose-built appliance that backs up your entire network infrastructure across vendors and protocols. It deploys in around 20 minutes and runs its first validated backup within the hour. Scheduling, retention, monitoring and alerting are managed through a web interface. No scripting and no Linux administration required.

Backup Assure does not just store files. It validates them. ISE backups are decrypted and verified. CUCM manifests are checked. Archive integrity is confirmed for readability. If a backup is corrupt, the platform reports it immediately.

  • Cisco: Catalyst Centre (formerly DNA Center), Identity Services Engine (ISE), ACI (APIC), Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity, UCCX, Firepower Management Center (FMC), Nexus Dashboard, and Cisco switches and routers. Cisco IOS-XE device discovery is included in Pro.
  • Aruba / HPE: AOS-CX, AOS-S, Central, Mobility, ClearPass, Comware, FlexFabric (included in Pro).
  • Fortinet: FortiGate, FortiManager (included in Pro).
  • Juniper: Junos, Junos Space, Mist, Paragon (included in Pro).

Backup Assure provides full Catalyst Centre 3 backup management and supports Catalyst Centre upgrades.

Backup Assure is Essential 8 ready and aligns to CIS Level 1. It provides immutable audit logs, three-tier role-based access control (Admins, Operators, Viewers) and Microsoft Entra ID integration. Executive and compliance reporting is built in.
