We work with two options for AAA Services, which are:

  • Cisco ISE: Cisco’s flagship authentication and profiling engine
  • Aruba ClearPass: HPE / Aruba offering full suite of AAA services

Cisco provides the market leading Cisco ISE platform, but Cisco haven’t cornered the market , as Aruba also have a similar product in the ClearPass software solution. We work with both, to provide our customers with the end choice.

Cisco ISE

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is a cutting edge, sophisticated platform for this process. It can undertake profiling of clients to ensure they have up to date software, or meet the corporate requirements for connection.

Often used with Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) deployments – either wired or wireless – ISE provides the ability to on-board clients.

You can provide your users with the access to sign up their own devices, after which they are admitted to the network, providing seamless access in future.

Cisco ISE is capable of advanced profiling for wired and wireless 802.1X, as well as sophisticated integration into the DNA Center management platform.

Other Security Services

Security is a multi-depth discipline, so best approached with multiple levels. Gone are the days of just installing a firewall and then no longer worrying about the security posture of your network.

There are a wealth of options to help protect your network from the myriad of threats:

  • Cisco Firepower: Scan sessions passing through the firewall to actively alert – and block – suspect sessions
  • Cisco Umbrella: Provides DNS checking to prevent access to website
  • Cisco Stealthwatch: Track the ambient network usage and alert on departures from expected network behaviour
